Self-order kiosk
Let customers order and pay on their own.

Who it’s for
Built for any counter with a line
If customers queue to order, a kiosk takes the ordering off your hands. Staff stay close by to hand over orders and help.
Restaurants & cafés
A line at the counter turns into orders on their way to the kitchen. Customers choose eat here or to go, pick sizes and add-ons, add a drink you suggest, and get a number you call when it’s ready.
nearvise for restaurants & cafésFood trucks & pop-ups
Stand a tablet by the window at the lunch rush. People order while they wait, add their name, and you call it out — no one stuck taking orders while the grill fills up.

A busy weekend stall can let regulars ring themselves up for the usual — a dozen eggs, a loaf, a bunch of flowers — while you talk with the next customer.

Self-checkout for the quick buys: gift shops, museum stores, convenience counters. Turn off “eat here or to go” and the kiosk is a quick checkout from your item photos.

Laundromats, car care, salons and studios: customers pick the service or package, pay up front, and get a number while you get on with the work.

Getting paid
Two ways to pay at the kiosk
Start with phone payments and no hardware at all. Add a card reader whenever your customers want to use their card.
Phone — no hardware
The kiosk shows a QR code. The customer scans it and pays on their own phone with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card, and gets the receipt there. The kiosk moves on by itself once it’s paid.
Card on a WisePOS E
Add a Stripe WisePOS E card reader beside the tablet and customers can also tap, insert or swipe a card — or tap Apple Pay or Google Pay on the reader. It connects over Wi-Fi, so there’s nothing to pair with the tablet.
Either way it’s a card sale like one on your register: the same processing, refunds from the app, and the same deposits. See every way to get paid.
What you get
Everything a self-order kiosk needs
Your menu, already there
The kiosk uses the same items, photos, prices and add-ons as your register. Mark something sold out and it’s gone from the kiosk too.
Eat here or to go
Ask it for restaurants and cafés, or switch it off for shops and services.
Suggestions before checkout
Pick up to eight items to offer once — a drink, a side, a dessert — just before the customer reviews their order.
A number to call
Each order gets the day’s next number, starting from 1 every morning. It’s shown on the kiosk and on the order in your app, with the name the customer typed.
Orders where you work
Kiosk orders arrive in Orders in the app, print on your register’s receipt printer, and show in your reports and deposits.
Photos or a simple list
Big photo tiles for food and products, or a clean list for menus without pictures.
Starts over by itself
Left alone, it asks “Still there?” and then clears the order, so the next customer never finds someone else’s cart.
Larger text
One tap on the start screen makes everything bigger. Buttons are large and the main ones sit low on the screen.
Pause any time
Closing up? Turn ordering off and the kiosk says “Please order at the counter”.
Staff-only settings
Staff hold the corner and enter your PIN to refresh or disconnect it. Customers can’t get out of the kiosk screen.
Setup
Up and running in four steps
No app to install on the tablet — the kiosk runs full screen from kiosk.nearvise.com.
- 1
Add a kiosk
At business.nearvise.com, open Kiosk, set a staff PIN and tap Add a kiosk to get a 6-digit code.
- 2
Open it on a tablet
Any iPad or Android tablet: go to kiosk.nearvise.com, add it to the Home Screen, and enter the code.
- 3
Lock it
Turn on Guided Access on iPad or app pinning on Android, so the tablet stays on the kiosk.
- 4
Add a reader (optional)
Put a WisePOS E on your Wi-Fi, make a pairing code in its settings, and enter it on the Kiosk page.
Locked to the kiosk. With Guided Access (iPad) or app pinning (Android), customers can’t leave the kiosk screen, open other apps or change settings. The kiosk keeps the screen on, starts over between customers and picks up menu changes on its own.
Kiosks need card payments set up in the app; until then they say “Please order at the counter”.
Cash isn’t taken at the kiosk — customers who want to pay cash order at the counter.
Tickets print on your register’s receipt printer, not at the kiosk. Kiosks are for places with staff nearby, not fully unattended machines.
The kiosk card reader is the WisePOS E, which connects over Wi-Fi. The Bluetooth Stripe Reader M2 works with the register on a tablet, not with the kiosk.
Put a kiosk on your counter
